We were “born” out of Glen Osmond Baptist Church in Adelaide, and are an associate member of the Baptist Churches of South Australia.

We love the image of the global Church as a body with many members and Jesus as the head.  We love to see different church groups united and working together whilst celebrating our differences.  Travellers Well is a member church of the Port Augusta Christian Ministers Association.

The Theological Jargon Bit!

Whilst open to new forms of “being church” together, we remain Bible-based in our theology. We take a high view of the Bible as God’s revealed word and the Gospel as powerful to transform lives. We affirm the Apostles’ Creed and Nicene Creed as historical statements of orthodox Christian faith. We regard every Christian (including kids) as gifted by the Holy Spirit, and sent into the world by Jesus, joining him in his mission of reconciling people to Himself and healing the world.

We want to practice radical hospitality and will welcome anyone, wherever they are on their journey towards God, and won’t discriminate based on age, gender, culture, nationality or sexuality.  We don’t have a separate Children’s program as we want families to learn together.  We adhere to the Baptist Churches Child Protection Strategy.  http://sabaptist.asn.au/professional-standards/
